SSR Mining Canadian Shareholder Class Action
Supreme Court of British Columbia
Commencement Date: April 23, 2024
Summary
This is a proposed shareholder class action against SSR Mining Inc. (TSX:SSRM; NASDAQ: SSRM; ASX: SSR) and certain of its current or former directors and senior executives. The action alleges that the directors and senior officers of the company breached their duty to exercise stewardship and oversight over crucial, mission-critical aspects of SSR Mining’s business and risk management, which led to the tragic landslide that occurred at the Çöpler gold mine on February 13, 2024. Following the incident at Çöpler, all operations at Çöpler were suspended, and the price of SSR Mining’s common shares plummeted, resulting in significant loss to shareholders.
We are Co-Counsel with the Toronto-based law firm of KND Complex Litigation in this proposed shareholder class action.
Class Membership Criteria
This proposed shareholder class action has been brought on behalf of:
all persons and entities, wherever they reside or may be domiciled, who held common shares or its equivalents of SSR Mining Inc. as of 9:02 a.m. Eastern Time on February 13, 2024, except certain Excluded Persons.
