  • September 18, 2020 — Hammerco Lawyers took Default Judgment against HYP3R after HYP3R did not defend the action.
  • April 1, 2021 — A Certification and Settlement Approval Hearing was heard.
  • November 22, 2021 — Reasons for Judgement were issued, awarding class members damages in the amount of $24,921,378.



On May 22, 2020, Hammerco Lawyers filed a proposed class action in BC Supreme Court, alleging HYP3R improperly collected, retained and exploited Instagram users’ personal information without notice or consent. HYP3R did not defend the action.
