On September 4, 2024, Hammerco Lawyers initiated a class action lawsuit against Cencora Inc. and Innomar Strategies Inc. about a data breach where sensitive personal and personal health information of patients was accessed.
The data breach compromised the personal information of Cencora and/or Innomar patients, including full names, telephone numbers, email addresses, dates and locations of services, health diagnoses/conditions, medications/prescriptions, medical record numbers, patient numbers, health insurance/subscriber numbers, signatures, lab results, medical histories, and other sensitive data.
Hammerco Lawyers is seeking compensation on these individuals’ behalf for the harm suffered due to this data breach.
For additional information, please refer to our Notice of Civil Claim.
The Court will decide whether to certify the proposed class action at a certification hearing. The Court will also decide who is included in the class action.
The plaintiff is proposing to include in the class action all individuals residing in Canada whose private and private health information was accessed in the data breach announced by Cencora Inc. and Innomar Strategies Inc. on or about February 21, 2024, including individuals who were sent a notice of the data breach.
You don’t need to do anything right now to join the class action. When the Court certifies a class action, individuals who meet the definition of “class members” are automatically included.
