Hammerco lawyers Bob Bush and Mark Tinmouth have successfully secured a $1 million judgment for a teacher on Vancouver Island who was badly injured at the start of her career and will never be able to work full-time again.

Natalie Raedwulf was involved in two car accidents a year apart that left her with chronic headaches, significant back pain, anxiety and balance issues.

Lost capacity to teach and enjoy life

Raedwulf’s injuries had a profound impact on her family life and career. The court agreed with her legal team – she will never be able to work full-time again, although she should be able to maintain half-time employment.

The judgment includes:

  • compensation for pain and suffering
  • loss of earning capacity (past and future)
  • loss of net pension benefits
  • costs of future care and special damages
