Background

On February 21, 2024, Hammerco Lawyers initiated a class action lawsuit against Canada Post for failing to show an attainable shipping price at the outset of transactions on their website. This action alleges that Canada Post’s failure to show the all-inclusive price constitutes  “drip pricing” and deceptive and/or unconscionable pricing practices in breach of Canada’s Competition Act.

Class Member Criteria

This proposed class action has been brought on behalf of: all legal persons and natural persons residing in Canada who, on or after June 23, 2022, used Canada Post’s Snap Ship, Ship Online, and Shipping Manager and were charged a fuel surcharge.
